You're all pervy fetishists!

I, meanwhile, am a voyeur, cause I've read this WHOLE thread oohing and aahing at the trolleys and have no intention whatsoever of taking one! Who needs a trolley when you're a whiskey girl?

These trolleys are £32.29 on diy.com now. I was thinking about getting one but was a little annoyed that they're so much more expensive now. I've just been to the B&Q near my work (High Wycombe) and found them hidden at the back at £14.98. Brilliant!

The first thing I did to my B&Q sack truck was to form a larger shelf at the bottom, last year I did this with a large plastic box which I cable tied on. I put all the heavy stuff at the bottom, then bungeed my holdalls, tent, etc. on. If It's raining, I also then wrap a tarpaulin around everything and bungee on. This year I got a thick piece of ply-wood from B&Q offcuts bin for 20p and drilled two small holes in and then cable tied this on as a shelf.

I'm going to put all of my water, cider, beer, etc. on my wood shelf and cling-film wrap it on. Then stack my holdalls on top.

I bought a few holdalls and I put everything inside them, this makes it easy to stack and bungee them onto the trolley. I have a few small misc items, that I cling-film wrapped to the sack truck on the back.

I also have ratchet straps and other things to hand, but I found the bungees fine.

A question from a long time ago I would recommend pallet wrap (basicly a big roll of thick sandwich wrap)

I put my hands up and admit that you're better at the Internet than me. I spent ages trying to find that but the f__king B&Q website kept bouncing me over to the nextday.diy.com site. :D

On that note, if you go to diy.com now and search for 'trolley' you get a 404. Bravo!

I bought one of these last night: Foldable Hand Truck

I had the exact same model until last autumn when I lent it to a mate who managed to break the bugger. I've no idea how, cos its been through 4 festivals, including the mud of Glasto 07, and managed fine. The wheels are a good size and can cope with most ground, and I never had any problems with the wheels folding back to 'packed' mode whilst in transit, as a previous poster mentioned. Its ideal for me as I don't have very much storage space at home. £24.99 from Homebase & recommended.

I went for a B&Q one last year and it was great! Coped with everything Glasto had to throw at it. I'd recommend lots of duct tape to keep it all in balance though.

However this year my mate is driving instead and it doesn't fit in the boot of his car so I think I might have to saw off the handles to make it fit!

Seconding Stab's request for trolley-modding pics. I was thinking of getting a couple of bits of thick-ish plywood to go on the base and half way (maybe quarter of the way) up the back. I was thinking about using some wingnuts and bolts but zip ties may be a better way to do it.

Here it is in all its trolley-ey glory:

I got one of these last year - at Bearded Theory there were loads of em!

I think we need a 'pimp my B&Q sack barrow' thread

    • Geese playing for 1:20 instead of just an hour was a lovely surprise. The energy was great!
    • Oh well that's why then, I assumed it was still the same. Thanks!
    • Think this will be it...I think they are a level above trees.
