I've heard rumours of the headliners too, but my source has never proved 100% reliable in the past though so am hoping they are wrong this year, as I'm not impressed...the Sat headliners I've never heard of, the Friday..well, they played Bella last year, and apparently are playing t this year as well...tho I always thought that T had an exclusivity clause that any band playing there couldn't play any other scottish festival...

oh god, i think that's it then, I hate SFG sooo much, why couldn't it have been a different one of the many samey bands- that i didn't hate sooo much. A tent act it will be then. :P

I think it is a headliner that will appeal to families as many of the young kids & older ones too will love it to sing along to and it's all pretty unoffensive, since the festival does have a family base. My daughter and her friends will be happier since mostly the last couple of years the headliners have certainly never appealed to them at all.

I'm very much in 2 minds about this. It is a 'family festival' afterall. And frankly, nobody seems happy with any festival's headliners this year. Exept T I suppose. SFG just aren't my thing, I may see them, I may not. And compared to 2006, this is hardly disasterous. Just pleeeeeeeeease don't let the Saturday headliners be some fiddly-diddly, mountain and heather bumming Scottish band. They have their place, but not headlining.

Ah well, the kids will be pleased. They like them.

I'm just hoping that the rest of the line-ups better than this thou, I'm sure it will be. Wierd headliner thou for a festival with a lot of older folk there.

Due to their no 1 album I suppose, and possibly their contacts in Inverness.

But it's only 1 band and still plenty to come yet.

Yeah of course there could be a fantastic Saturday headliner and undercard to match...

but if the top act on the Friday is SFG, then the undercard that day will be decidedly weak... as not many good acts will want to play below them

Yup its a terrible announcement, but every cloud has a silver lining - think of all the nubile young fillies that will follow this lot to bella!!! Another bonus is you wont get any wee neds being seen dead near a SFG gig thus leaving more room for the punani and at the same time cutting out competition.

Seriously, some of you guys on here need your head looked at.

The clue is in the name.

I for one will be there purely for the music and the fresh highland air...

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
