But also on that, it's 40k in comparison so 10-15k less than Mad Cool and way less than Primavera Sound, they shouldn't have trouble selling 40k out in July really especially in a cooler part of Spain in an area many people living further south in the heat venture away to in orser to escape the heat. How many on here want Calvin Harris, Robbie and Dellafuente headlining their festival in comparison to the names Mad Cool and Werchter got in?

Why did it need to announce so late?, afterall there were options around that Mad Cool didn't get.

Depends how you define late I guess, but they announced their headliners and a decent chunk of the undercard on 11 December. I don't think anyone was seriously thinking it just wasn't happening at all.

I didn't actually I'll be honest, it was just announced late. I do remember about this one now but I know people were thinking Bilbao might not happen and there were questions of who's actually left.

Which festival was is people were saying who can they get now?, I'm sure it was Bilbao. It's not ramblings dude, I've admitted I was wrong and held my hands up, is there any need to come across as a bit of an arse about it?

I remember a festival where people said about who Mad Cool and Primavera had. It might have been just after people said it but December is actually quite late to start announcing an early July multi day festival. Bearing in mind Werchter is around then and a fair portion was announced, Mad Cool had released theirs.

To put into context, a festival one week earlier had 26 names with one late additions to announce left by the time Bilbao started announcing their lineuo for the following week.

Calvin Harris and Dellafuente weren't announced until March 11th. That's two top line acts 4 months before the festival.

It's not an extreme call that they were later with things than others.

First Bilbao BBK had to cancel.

Then it was 'so' late.

Now it's 'quite' late.

So they were a few weeks after some others - big deal. Someone has to be last.

And they still announced in December for July - 7 months in advance.

The usual time frame for these kinds of festivals was less than 5 months until recently.
