Nova Rock 26

Like I said in the previous thread I think that GnR is unlikely since there concert in Vienna didn't sell all that well even with Sex Pistols and Wolfmother as support.

Iron Maiden would fit really well, and I could see Limp Bizkit headline as well. A outside candidate that I could see confirmed for Nova and Rar/Rip is Volbeat

Based on Barracuda's (the festivals promotors) booking history, I kinda expect Twenty One Pilots to be announced tomorrow

They would fit more with Frequency festival than Nova Rock, and they are already booked for Hurricane and Southside, and since both Rar/Rip announce tomorrow as well I think it's very likely that they gonna share a head

BMTH/Iron Maiden/The Cure/Volbeat

No Foos

That's a massive set of headliners to be fair. I think that puts Maiden with a very big chance of being at rock am ring and they shared 6 headliners in the past two years I believe with 5 of those being all the main stage, A7X being RAR second stage and Tenacious D subbing RAR while headlining Nova.

No Foos is a surprise which likely rules out RAR two only two years later.

It’s mostly a “usual suspects” bag of names but there’s a lot of names on there I really like, definitely on my radar that. Love that we’ve got a few big dominos falling this week to help get a sense of what’s about

I wouldn't go as there isn't enough there despite the price and a LP headed festival is what I'm after.

Yeah that’s fair enough, LP played at Rock for People last year so they’re not as much as a priority for me this season

How was RfP? Considering it this year

In my experience I can only echo what @turnero said really; they really went above and beyond this year line up wise I felt with it being their 30th anniversary but I feel it’ll deliver again this year. There’s always a band on somewhere too, great variety

Amazing, highly recommended.

We were there for the very first time this year.

Great bands, nice atmosphere, large options of great food and more importantly - cheap beers.

Unreal, got our ring tickets already but toying with the idea of doing a day or two at Nova or RfP, if they announce bring me it'll probably swing me to the Czech republic.

    • I thought some time back that I could see Get Down Services getting a slot in Woodsies
    • Tickets on sale when I'm abroad (I'm assuming this sells out in minutes), and the actual dates could not be worse for me work-wise. Still going to try to get tickets, of course, but god damn!
    • I'm personally confident that Slipknot will be one of the headliners next year (no insider info just lines up with them likely releasing an album soon)    Then there's the headliner that's never played the festival before which the bookers have alluded to so that's one of Blink, Foos, NIN, Nickelback and possibly Pearl Jam or even Bon Jovi    The third band I also think will be a new headliner who are being bumped up so Deftones, Offspring, Paramore Etc.    I'd love Slipknot, Foos and Paramore but realistically i'd go with Slipknot, Blink and Deftones
    • Loads of people have to listen to music they don't like all day, while at work!   Not much different.
    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
