So the advent calendar is around the corner, what are everyone's expectations/wishes? A Day To Remember, Knocked Loose, Wet Leg, We Came As Romans, letlive., Thornhill, South Arcade, Nova Twins, Bloodywood, Fat Dog, Militarie Gun, Ecca Vandal, Split Chain or Grade 2 would make me very happy.

I think this is a great set of names, all of them are quite likely imho and I would be very happy with them too.

Honestly I don't expect any surprises as the names touring are already given and we know who's around from the other June festivals. I would also appreciate some pop punk, Rejects would be a dream. Last but not least, please book something alternative, less heavy, similar to Fontaines/Wunderhorse  who were there last year.

Don’t know if I’m reading too much into this, but I wonder if this means the last headliner is getting announced on the 4th? To be fair I thought they would go earlier with the headliner because they’ll do a final drop of names.

In terms of what we’re wanting/expecting; for the final headliner I’d be okay with someone like Jack White, Volbeat or The XX if it meant that they could spend more throughout the line up rather than going all out on a mega headliner.

In terms of who I would like; there’s already a fair chunk of good rock on their for me, so if I had my way I would like to see something like Editors, CMAT, Father John Misty, Franz Ferdinand, Wet Leg, White Lies and The Beaches getting added from other festivals  around this one.

Sex Pistols were announced at the very end of the calendar, so I don't expect the headliner to come earlier than within the last 10 names

what are we making of this?

I noted the other day that they seemingly confirmed the final headliner was coming on the 4th. Forgive my bad google translation but it seems to mention something about "scrolling on the crescent moon"? Don't know if that is intended as a clue.

Also, ADTR, Badflower and letlive. isn't a bad start for the advent calendar imo

The cover photo of one online music magazine will change in mid-December. They always feature bands on their covers, so it is assumed that the last headliner will be there...

Big fan of the advent calendar idea, enjoying checking each morning then listening to a couple of songs each night from the bands.

Being impatient want the headliner announced tomorrow, but love the idea it would just get sneaked in one random day this month with no warning.

Hoping it's someone who hasn't been mentioned for any other festivals yet.

Ah that would make sense and as @paul750 says, it would be cool if it just landed out of nowhere one day.

There won’t be a headliner announcement tomorrow. I think this magazine ad means that the headliner will be announced on (or around) the 15th of December. The conversation that @49Lawson was referring to, was just poorly translated by FB. Someone said they are looking forward to the announcement of the fourth headliner and RfP answered “Fourth?” (implying they already have 4 headliners if you include Iron Maiden).

Ah that makes more sense! Thank you mate, appreciate your help with that translation.

Also, Firenze Rocks in Italy just announced Lenny Kravitz (12th), Robbie Williams (13th) and The Cure (14th) as headliners so we can discount those three.

Apart from Alessi Rose ... these are mostly names that were to be expected.

I would also expect bands such as The All-American Rejects, Blodywood, Black Veil Brides, Set It Off, Kublai Khan TX, TX2, Thornhill, Ice Nine Kills, The Funeral Portrait, The Plot In You, Landmvrks or Billy Talent.

Then they'll add something softer like The Beaches, Wolf Alice, Royel Otis or Empire of the Sun ...

+ Saturday's headliner...

Doesn’t Hurricane/Southside have an EU exclusivity on Billy Talent?

Still have absolutely no idea who the last headliner could be. And I feel like there’s not that many options left.

At this point, I’m assuming the last headliner is someone a little smaller. And might be someone who complements NBT being booked before them? Complete guess work. Can’t see who from existing announcements across Europe it could be unless they’ve pulled of an exclusive/curveball. Or they have randomly got MCR/SOAD to fly over early just for this 😂
