Latitude 2026

Hi. Looking at Latitude with friends (and kids) next year as Glastonbury in a fallow year. Not been before (though been to Glastonbury loads of times) so wondered how early we can expect to hear who the headliners and other main acts will be? Is it safe to leave buying tickets until after that or do they sell out quickly? Thanks in advance!

Announcements really vary year to year but if it follows a similar pattern to the last few years:

First headliners - October/November time (although Sting was announced at the end of September last year)

A small announcement of around 10/15 acts just before Christmas

Bigger announcement and stage/day splits end of January time followed by further announcements at the end of each month in the run up to the festival

With regard to getting tickets, it only really tends to sell out nearer the festival and it never has before acts have been announced so I'd say to hold off for now

They're putting a lot of emphasis on it next year being the 20th edition and no Glasto but I wouldn't expect this to sell out until spring time next year if it did

Hi,  I think last year we had sting first and that was maybe mid/ end September but that felt early.

The 3 headliners were end of October and then maybe some more of the undercard before Christmas.

It's a bit of a painful drip of names recently with batches released every couple of months. The lineup only really starts to look decent (imho) a couple of months before the festival.

It hasn't sold out quickly in years,  I think even when the killers played there was plenty of time to get tickets.

The audience is now much more families and not the die hard music fans that snap up the tickets the minute they are released so they dont miss their favourite band.

It's a nice festival to do with family and friends.

Gorillaz have announced a summer show next year so not sure if it puts them in contention

If not they have Sparks supporting the date who would be a solid tent headliner

Yeah, I wasn't sure what to think,  they are active...but they have a lot of tickets to shift with the arenas and then a stadium show.  It'll be interesting to see if the tour, and particularly the Tottenham date sells out immediately.

I would love to see them at latitude because I haven't seen them since glasto and Damon must have a good relationship with the organisers...I just don't know.

I feel we'll get far less interesting or top tier headliners.

Thinking along the lines of,  Mumford, lily Allen, stereophonics, david gray, faithless.

That type of act.

Lewis Capaldi announced for BST so that should rule him out, maybe he is too big anyway but it is a relief for me that he won't be there.

Ed Sheeran has seemingly said he's focusing on touring the US next year so that would seemingly rule him out too

However will we cope...

It seems as if several early announcements are being made for festivals so hopefully we can get a rough idea of who's active

Nick Cave has announced a show the weekend after in Brighton so maybe could be in contention for a slot? I was thinking maybe they may have an ex headliner as a special guest each day like they did with Elbow this year as it could be a nice way to celebrate the 20th

lol - yep.  glad Ed isn't there for so many reasons.  I think it would well and truly screw the festival to have him as a headliner.

I would be all over Nick Cave, was incredible last year.  I think if he plays latitude he headlines though, he headlined APE a couple of years ago and consistently sells out O2.

I saw that The XX are back as well because they are on the Coachella line-up.  Again, 10 years ago I would have thought they were a shoe in but I reckon they are much more likely for a day at APE now.

Just checked the email.  Nick Cave's Brighton show is only UK show of '26 so he is ruled out.

Ahh sorry hadn't seen that bit! Really not sure who else could be in contention right now. Their survey seemed to flick between your usual Radio 2 stuff and the 6 Music stuff they usually keep for the tent now so I have no idea what route they'll take this time

Sources seem to think IoW is announcing soon and theres usually some crossover there so it might give us an idea

Yeah, good shout, usually a few from IOW, good to keep our eyes peeled on that.

Just seen that Mogwai are doing a big tour at the start of the year.

I don't know whether 2026 is too soon for them to return and headline the tent, think they did it last in 2023. Would be a nice call back to the line-up of the first festival.

Snow Patrol were there this year and Anhoni looks like she has wrapped up touring for the last album so seems like the only choice of the initial headliners what could fit into lineup, if they were going to do a callback like that.

gosh just looked at that original lineup, I reckon the Zutons might be on the bill somewhere they are active. bleugh.

Someone help me out here, I've never knowingly heard or know anything about Tom Grennon.  Looks like on his current tour he is playing arenas.

Latitude seems to love a male poppy singer songwriter sort of thing recently (George Ezra, Lewis Capaldi, Hozier, Paolo Nutini).  Is he that sort of thing? - I could just go and listen to him but it is really not my jam.

First Isle of Wight names tomorrow, theres usually some crossover and at least one shared headliner so could be worth keeping an eye out on it

People on the IOW forum think The Cure and Calvin Harris are nailed on for 2 of their headliners, not sure about the other one.

Could see Calvin Harris playing Latitude.

There's quite a few there I could see playing and no mention of any exclusives either

💯 I could see any of this on the latitude poster with the exception of lewis capaldi (bst) and the cure (just don't think they would play it).

Massive cure fan, I like wet leg and last dinner party,  Everything else would be pretty disappointing for me, personally.

I reckon Calvin Harris will be a headliner,  maybe The Kooks (last played 2023 but amazingly their stock seems to grow) or Tom Grennan.

I dunno,  I've got a feeling the lineup will be a stinker for me.

I hope to be proved wrong.

Just seen that the cure have announced their 2026 tour,  no London date + hand picked support from Robert Smith and so I think that puts them in the frame for BST.

Also seen that Lytham festival have announced their first headliner,  Teddy Swims, there have been a couple of times Lytham and latitude have shared a headliner in the same year (george ezra, lewis capaldi) I have a sinking feeling that is who we are going to get, he's at IOW and playing outdoors in Scarborough a couple of days before Latitude. If so really disappointing booking for me.

He's fascinating to me because I only really know a couple of his songs but never realised how popular he is, 43 million monthly streamers on Spotify alone - not the most inspiring choice but a bit more of the moment than some of the other headliners recently!

Hoping for Wolf Alice and Fontaines DC, and The Cure would make a nice 3rd headliner but may be completely off with what to expect/hope for!

I think Fontaines are probably on a break now after 2 solid years of touring Romance, I'd love to see Wolf Alice back though! They have a good relationship with the festival clearly, could see them back in a slot like Elbow this year of an ex headliner back as a special guest

They ended the loyalty discount registration today and they have to been redeemed by the end of October so my guess is we get some names by then to drum up some interest

Richard Ashcroft is touring and available on the Sunday of Latitude. Popular again since his support slot with Oasis and not played Latitude for a good while. Likewise I've just seen Cast support Oasis and they have new material coming out, so would appeal to many of us over 40.

I'm feeling Wet Leg might be about for a tent headline slot. I know their not for everyone's taste but I like them.

You can usually pick a few acts from the line ups of Kendal Calling, Green Man and IOW and bet they'll be making it to Latitude, so keep an eye out. I wouldn't be at all surprised if from the IOW line up Latitude gets one or two of these: Tom Grennan, The Last Dinner Party, David Gray, Suzanne Vega, Starsailor and KT Tunstall.

Really hoping for a better standard of quality acts this year, with Glasto on a break.

Richard Ashcroft has a big arena tour - may have eaten up all the demand potentially.

Wet Leg are probably above a tent headline slot now I think. Could end up packed!

Complete curveball vs any previous booking this.

I'd have thought so too, potential headliners or second on the bill, they're even playing Albert Hall in November yet they're not even down as headliners for their hometown festival at IOW.
