Heart are probably touring Europe according Nancy Wilson. Were they also not on the line up a few years ago when they had to cancel?

Oh my god, I would love it if Heart played!

Only if they play All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You - otherwise they can get stuffed.#

Shame REO Speedwagon are no longer a going concern as they'd have made great legacy headliners. Surprised the festival have never tried for them.

REO Speedwagon headlining Download? 🤣🤣🤣

Did you find something I said funny? There was no humour intended! They'd have been brilliant. As I said though not going to happen as they're a no longer a going concern - but they'd absolutely have smashed it.

Don’t think REO had quite the same pull here as in the US, even at their peak. Legacy subs/“special guests” I could have seen.

They might not be as big in the UK as they were in the US but they were still a massive band and one of the last proper legacy acts still going. Maybe if their health issues improve they might reunite again - at which point Download should give them however much money they ask for.

Yeah, I found REO Speedwagon headlining Download funny. Because it is.

I’d put them on the same level as Whitesnake/Motley Crue; yeah, they’re a proper legacy act, but just not big enough to headline.

Whitesnake and Motley Crue are both big enough to headline if they don't try and force their newer music down people's throats. I'd put them on par with Def Leppard as legacy acts so could do it.

It's rubbish, there's no chance Muse ever do Download again after last time.

I'm not saying it's not rubbish, just confused why I'm hearing it in multiple places at once and seeing if it's coming from somewhere or just a monkey with a typewriter situation. Within the space of 30 minutes, I've heard it come up I think four times, each one more confident than the last.

Not saying it's true or fake, just wanted to know if it's a prediction or if it's another one of those "my mate who knows everything said it so it's true" kinda deals.

It’s just people saying it’s who they would like.

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
