I had the same thought about Elbow having 90 minutes and Snow Patrol having 75 despite them being the headliner

Maybe a few things are still due to be ironed out and they'll properly launch them tomorrow

I saw set times online somewhere that were different to the app, hopefully it gets sorted out shortly.

Yeah i fully expect them to be broadly correct but a couple of things to change here and there, as long as we have the rough gist I'm happy to get planning

Yeah agreed, plenty to keep us entertained for a few days. Never been before so looking forward to it - we are seasoned Glastonbury attendees but going to Latitude with our 3.5 yr old twins (Glasto is out of bounds for them until they are teenagers!). Hopefully the weather holds.

Just to flag for those who haven't been before that Latitude do something super sensible that no other festival I go to does (perhaps others do, I just haven't been): They put all the comedy on in the afternoon with the comedy headliner finishing around 5pm.

So, we have a lovely routine whereby we spend all afternoon pissing ourselves, get some dinner, and then head off to see the evening's bands.

Does anyone know of other festivals that don't line up all the headliners across each performance domain so you have all their respective headliners clashing?

A few surprises on the timings to watch out for if there are any changes:

  • Thought Basement Jaxx would be late at night after Sting, like Underworld were once.
  • Air finishing so early so that Snow Patrol get a clean run (doubt there’s a surprise tent headliner they’re not naming) means Lambrini Girls will be more packed than expected (and I was already expecting pretty busy).
  • The stampede from Doves to Elbow will be full on (unless Elbow do a shorter set).
  • Fatboy Slim getting a full two hours to somehow justify his promotion from the tent. Imagine Leon Bridges will be rammed.
  • The tent on Saturday has a full 45 minutes between sets instead of the usual 30 - maybe there’s a guest in there and they’ll budge everyone else up to make room.
  • Doesn’t seem to be any space on the line up for special guests, except first thing Friday on the obelisk and last thing Sunday in the tent.

Also, the Robin Ince and co stage (a welcome addition) seems to have finally spelled the end for cabaret after a few years of being sidelined, not surprising but a shame to have completely lost that now.

It was a bit of a lastminute.com decision so not explored the line up in full yet. Basement Jaxx probably top of our list as not seen them before. Wanted to see Air but clashing with Elbow, although we've seen elbow a few times before so might go to Air, will decide on the day. What about you?

This is a bit bizarre, I like Fatboy slim but seems a waste of a headline slot on the main stage.

Air have been on my bucket list for a while so looking forward to finally seeing them (see Elbow a fair amount). We're also a bit last minute about it, so also exploring. Am sure there'll be a lot of good finds. Recommendations welcome!

He seems a real strange booking to headline outright, I'd have thought him and Basement Jaxx co headlining would have been a better combination. Another idea would be him being a special guest closer after another headliner like Underworld in 2019

Quite looking forward to Public Service Broadcasting, worth a listen if you aren't familiar with them.

Yeah agreed, he'd have been better off on the second stage as headliner.

Victorious Festival is putting its main comedians on the main stage, mid afternoon between bands.

What are people’s new band tips?

I’m thinking mainly Alcove / Sunrise / BBC Introducing

Mine are Cliffords (for fans of Wolf Alice maybe?) and Westside Cowboy (who won the Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition)

Both decent live acts

They had Bill Bailey open the main stage once but they've never done anything else like it

The comedy stage is pretty big though, it can hold 3000 people and as mentioned runs from about 11am-5:30/6ish so youre able to enjoy the music in the evening

Both of them are on my watch list!

I can also reccomend...

Sunrise - Lambrini Girls, Annahstasia, WH Lung, Olive Jones, Catty, Chloe Quisha, bby, Somebody's Child

Alcove - BOLD Love, Nxdia, Neckbreakers, The Wytches, Ellur, The Pill, Finn Forster

Saw Cliffords at Glastonbury a few weeks ago, they were pretty good. Will catch them again at latitude. Will have a listen to Westside Cowboy.

Definitely recommend WH Lung on Sunday evening, seen them  a couple of time, they are great live... I was hoping they would be on earlier in the day but are in the evening between Elbow and Snow Patrol on Sunday

They’re definitely on my list, the latest album is very good and their show on Margate a few months back was cracking.

The war and treaty seem like a perfect early afternoon fit.

recommend String V Spitta in the comedy tent, and Yuck circus if you can get into the theatre.

Ah yeah some good choices there. I’ve seen Ellur loads of times and she’s great. Her sets generally start slow but definitely build. The Pill are always a laugh as well.

I saw Nxdia recently having liked her recorded stuff but felt a bit let down - a lot of it ( inc a good amount of her vocal) seemed to be on backing track.
