Pretty much agree with what everyone has said on here. I’ve booked my early bird for next year but it’s a no brainier for me as I live a short walk away. It would be rude not to go! re: Becky Hill. In previous years it’s been busy for pop acts (like Mel C and Ella Eyre) but not as busy as Becky. I think it’s simply to do with the fact that they sold more tickets so a higher number of people are on site, and when the main stage doesn’t have a big enough name to draw, you get the situation you had with Becky. Weirdly the day before I had been talking to a friend and he had said to me that Becky Hill, Sam Ryder and Sam Fender would be the big draws of the day and he was right! Should have listened to him!

They did point at it and I saw one of them say ‘Did you see that’ to another member but I’m not sure if they are the sort of act who can respond to things outside of their well rehearsed set to the crowd. Apparently the ship broke down at sea today!

On a new music tip….. what are people’s recommendations for the Rising Stage. Here are 3 from me…. Mickey Callisto - Totally bonkers space cadet who takes a big dose of Freddie Mercury and puts it with synth pop bangers. Will put a smile on your face even if you can’t stand the music. Watch out for dance routines and arse thrusting! Lemondaze - Young shoegaze band who have been getting good reports. Bonnie Kemplay - Young singer songwriter recently signed to Dirty Hit records (The 1975, Pale Waves, Wolf Alice) who won Radio 1’s live lounge introducing competition out of 10,000 entries

Ah yes! I forgot about that. They haven’t been using the bandstand this summer for the live at the bandstand events for that reason.

Given that there are now 7 acts on Friday is it still the case that only the main stage will be open then? I guess so especially as Primal Scream are confirmed as afternoon....but I guess things are going to start up earlier this year on Friday?
