INmusic 2025

I did both sold out editions in 17&18, from what i recal tonight matches them.

They did not add more bars, toilets etc., +  add heat wave where everyone is thirsty AF and your get borderline sh*t show, queueing everywhere.

Anyway, eary birds for next year are 89€, only this week. Quite a rise. After this edition and ticket price rise, i'm very interesting about lineup next year.

This was my first visit to INmusic and it was a great experience. The quality of the line-up was the main attraction and given that the cost was only a third of the price of most 3 day festivals I go to, it's unbeatable value. Hotel prices and the cost of local transport are much cheaper too. Weather was far hotter and sunnier than most but at least there was some shade to give us respite and thankfully, local bus 113 was available to drop fans at the entrance (although it took time to get to the pick up point from the city centre).

I got to the site around 18.00 as the first acts I wanted to see were on at 18.30. It wasn't crowded at all and no queues at the wristband payment top-up stalls. It seemed that most people arrive much later. A decent amount for the bands starting on the World Stage at 19.45 and there were big crowds for all the bands that started on the Main Stage at 20.45.

It's a good site, if rather narrow. It could do with more toilets and washing facilities that worked in the toilet areas. It could also do with more H2O points and get rid of that ridiculous rule that you can't take in reusable water bottles, even though they are empty. I noticed that quite a few people managed to get these in somehow and I must learn their secret for next year. The food options were OK but there was a crying need for some ice cream/gelato stalls. This is the only festival I've been to that lacked these.

First class performances from Air, Fontaines DC, Massive Attack and in particular Michael Kiwanuka. I like St Vincent too but was disappointed that she only played for an hour when the timetable indicated 90 minutes.

I liked quite a few of the acts on the World Stage, too, especially the Japanese group Mitsune.

If the line-up is as good next year, I'll definitely return.

    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
