Family Camping Gate B

Not Long Now!!!!!!

Can anyone tell me what Pedestrian Gate B is like? we were thinking of trying the Cockmill meadow family camping this year for the first time... usually used the one near the John Peel tent. My question is what is gate B like. We have been in a campervan before and I recall the hill of death on that side of the festival. Is Gate B similar? I don't fancy lugging our gear up and down anything like that hill.

Thanks!

Pretty sure PGB is at the top of the hill as you have to walk uphill up Muddy Lane to get to it. Might mean you are camping on a hill though so may have to lug your kit back up the hill at the end of the festival.

Thanks, might stick to the usual one then!

It all depends where you get parked....and that's a bit of a lottery

I've just seen on last years map they had another family camping field next to Cockmill called Ash tree. Looking at the map it seems twice as big as Cockmill, is this correct? We normally camp in Wickets as we like the extra space but if being in Ash tree has the same space available we would really consider that.

Tort has updated his Glastoearth guide to include Ash Tree Family Camping - https://www.glastoearth.com/p/torts-faq-part-3.html?m=1
