Watched it on YouTube and thought it was brilliant, brought many many great memories back of pogues gigs .

Spider been playing pogues songs in the states with cait o Riordan for a few years now ,good to see him back in uk doing this to celebrate a great first album .

Rumours of another gig in dublin doing the rounds as well.

Thought spider did a great job as front man after all shane never wanted to be the front man originally, and said it should be spider .

I really hoped there would be some kind of tribute to Shane and especially Sinead who had a long history with the festival this year. Would have been a nice touch.

Maybe with the Mary Wallopers? They did something similar for jools Holland hootenanny

Well there’s definitely enough Irish bands around on site but yes they did spring to mind. 
 

Billy Bragg performed at a tribute to Sinead in New York as well.
