Overall the reaction to this speech seems to be it was another long and boring Trump dronefest, and also he's obviously worried about the midterms.

Looks like its heading towards what some people call an escalation trap between US/Israel and Iran...which is obviously bad news for the region, but also potentially very damaging to the global economy, and if continues then who knows...WW3?

It's very misleading the stat about the market being down 40%. It had enjoyed crazy growth and was up more than 100% since the start of the year.

 

Most people still have paper gains (or are at breakeven)...

These are people using leverage so are getting margin calls on relatively small falls.
