Would James fit the vibe for this? If they played the hits, maybe.

Not to headline

Nobody in the core boardmasters demographic would know more than Laid and Sit Down - and MANY would not even know those two i think

That's what I was thinking. It's a bit of a mums-and-dads booking, isn't it?

James are too small for headlining it anyway

They didn't even headline Latitude this year i think it was, instead playing a special orchestral slot

That may have been because of the orchestral tour, but I wasn't thinking of them as headliners either, to be fair.

(If I wrote otherwise, I was blind drunk.)

Feel like they’d occupy the foals/kings of leon/Florence and the machine spot nicely

They are a lot older than any of their recent headliners - only recent comparable would be maybe LG or Chems but these acts are a lot younger age wise (not that it really matters) and broke out a tad later

Aye. Was wondering if they might have him as a festival exclusive.

theres precedent after the LG exclusive this year

although stormzy only did APE last year so probably will be about a bit more - could see him doing Parklife and Boardies maybe

    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
    • This Isaac wood news has dropped right out of left field. Great to hear he feels up to doing live stuff again    what will he play? Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
    • Wow, Blink-182 back so soon. They’re the band they’ve never booked then. Great booking if they’ve got them.    Deftones, Papa Roach, Knocked Loose   Lamb of God   Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte   Megadeth   Slipknot, Gojira, Motionless In White   All Time Low
