Access to the site from Worthy View without a WV ticket

My friend is getting a lift down with people who are staying at Worthy View but isn't staying there herself.   Can she access the main site from there or will she have to get to one of the main gates.  Its a hell of a long way to Ped Gate D from there.

Yes you can enter through worthy view, my friend did this last year as she got a lift with people camping there and walked down - mind the hill, it’s steep!

Will she be able to get wristbanded at WV?

Yes you can get wristbanded without  WV booking there.

Pretty sure she won’t be able to access the WV camp site without a WV wrist band (they are strict on this) but can probably walk down the tarmac road which runs around WV down the hill towards the festival gate (used to be Pennards Hill but called Kings Gate now for some reason).

Last year you could walk down the east side of WV down the hill direct to the gate without going through WV. I know because I very nearly did it when trying to enter WV for the first time, I had no idea where I was going.

Yes, that’s what I thought I said. You can’t go through WV if you don’t have a WV ticket, but you can go round it to the festival gate, down the tarmac road - which curves around the east side.
