  1. -Loss of Williams Green. I’m still sad about this almost a week on… -Lack of shade. Obviously there is lack of shade but every year since 2017 has been hot, can they not add areas of shade in various locations across site with tarp type materials? -Idiot going on a rampage in Big Ground stealing 20 or so phones at 9am one morning - this is no reflection on the security and police as he was in handcuffs not long after. Sorry but who does this?!?!
  2. Are there general public parking cars there too? I just saw a photo on Facebook with about 10 cars in a line with the odd camper in 🤔
  3. Defo over the worst of it now. Likely to clear up completely in the next hour or so and up to 20c by lunch time

    Tuesday arrival

Sorry I have just seen your reply! A friend has said every year they unofficially open the gates to public car parking earlier than what is advertised so I should have no problems getting there earlier…
  5. The only showers are near the Kidzfield. It’s a long queue from 7/8am so best to get there early. The campsites around there get filled very quickly. I have never bothered personally but a friend did last year and queued for about 45 minutes.
  6. Yes you can get wristbanded without WV booking there.
  7. Yes you can enter through worthy view, my friend did this last year as she got a lift with people camping there and walked down - mind the hill, it’s steep!
  8. Hi, Are stewards strict about the Tuesday 9pm car park public car park opening? If you turned up at say 8pm would you be let in or would you have to wait and form a queue (will there already be a queue?) or have to leave the entrance and return later?
  9. I’ve done both orange and purple car parks and both can be a trek depending where you end up getting parked. For row mead I personally would enter from the east.
  10. Last year I met a friend in Frome on the Tuesday to park together who had driven down from Aberdeen. He did the M6, M5, M4 and then cut down past Bath, through Trowbridge and into Frome. He left 11:30am and arrived to meet me at 9pm. From there we convoyed and parked on the East side no problems
  11. Definitely park on the side you want to camp on. There is nothing worse than parking up and having to trek across to the other side of the site when you don’t have to. Every entrance/exit will have queues regardless of where you come from.

    Car share

I am driving from Crawley Tuesday so if you could get to Crawley/Gatwick/Redhill you could jump in with me. I’m driving back early AM Monday.
  13. Hmm yes it’s definitely a painful slog regardless. I joined the queue last year at gate B at 5:45am, we moved very slowly from 8:15-10am. I won’t sleep regardless of being at home, in my car or in a queue 😂 I don’t mind queuing overnight if it’s not raining…my friends who queued overnight were at the front of gate C queue and were at the campsite by 8:15. I just really want to know if I have a chance of being allowed in to the main car parks pre 9pm? I’d rather not be trying to find them in the dark 🤣
