Can’t tell if you’re trolling or not!

It's genuine. Been going for years. Everyone has or dresses in something pink. We all make different kinds of shots like skittles vodka etc and meet up every year by the big tree on pyramid field. If you happen on Thursday to be near there you will see what I mean. Its grown into loads of us over the years

I’d rather rip my own arms off than hang around with a bunch of facebook “live laugh love” huns at Glastonbury. But thanks for the offer.

This forum is funny sometimes. It's just a group of people that goto a place and have a laugh. You either go or don't go. I only asked if others go. If you don't fine if you think it's pretentious fine. I've met a few lovely people there and still go to see people each year. Each to their own innit. We are all different and that's what makes the world go round.

Oh absolutely and there are many people on here that choose to be on both groups … it’s no slight on the other but it’s a bit like walking into Tesco wearing an Asda advertising board . I’ve not yet seen anyone post asking who’s attending the efest meet on the Facebook group though

The late Mr Thomas Cardew, an old gentleman of a very charitable and kindly disposition, found me, and gave me the name of Worthing, because he happened to have a first-class ticket for Worthing in his pocket at the time.

I don't think this is a glasto chat thing. I don't go on there. Awhile ago there was a breakaway group from efests called red triangle or something that setup shop in Pennards.  I'm not party to that though I know people in it..

Oh trust me my dear, there’s no chance I would find it “pretentious”. I hope you have an absolutely wonderful time though, enjoy your meet up and enjoy your festival.

Everything things that's wrong with today's Glastonbury In Name Only.

Back in the good old days we'd buy our tickets from HMV the week before, sneak through the fence, have a campfire back at our tent with lots of wax flares whilst wearing jester hats and only then do a choreographed dance routine to Ozric Tentacles.

I certainly remember in 2000 sitting in a pub on the Friday night then suddenly all deciding to goto glasto with no tickets..that was the year I was hooked

    • No worries, it's a perfectly fair question to ask. I would expect people to be talking at the back & near the bars & that is where I would want them to be talking. If your group are enjoying yourselves & the music & briefly chatting to say how much you are loving a certain song etc, you would be an ideal group to stand behind.   My issue is with people having full blown conversations (usually unrelated what is on the stage) whilst being surrounded by people who are trying to listen to the music. This was happening in the middle and towards the front of all stages, & so you have limited options to move around & you may have spent 20 minutes waiting for the band trying to get the closest position that you can. If there's a group of 8 people, there may be 2 or 3 that like the band & the rest will start talking if the music isn't their thing. This may be the norm now for festivals, and if it is, that's ok & I will focus on a band's own gigs & UK based new music festivals.    I'm also not including consequences of my own decision making. I saw Geese on Wednesday so went to Occident after Men I Trust finished so it was understandable there would be chatting that far back. Similarly, getting to The XX after Olivia Rodrigo along with most of the site, I knew my chance of a good spot & a chat-free zone had gone so that was completely reasonable.   PS. I went to Bilbao BBK in 2023 & 2025 & enjoyed it. For Pulp & Kylie in 2025, I got a position early & was surrounded by a respectful & fun crowd for both. The UK non-headlining bands tend to go on the undercover 3rd stage, & most people like to congregate outside so you can usually get close to the front of that stage.
    • Interview on 6 music earlier, was going to get the album to have a listen, but comes out the day they play the festival
