Has anyone got past experience of how good/efficient the shuttle service is...As we know every minute counts in terms of getting a good camping spot.

We will arrive at around 4am Weds morning, what time realistically could we expect to be in the queue at Gate A?

i was admittedly very drunk last time we got there, however if memory serves we got there about 1am , which was far quieter and we waited at the shuttle bus stop for a short while to pick a few others up. but even then i wanna say I definitely get change from an hour/around that much. 4am is considerably busier judging by how quickly it started filling up which could either hurt or hinder that time (less time to wait around at the stop but you might have to queue to get on). however it's really efficient i had no issues with it whatsoever! in terms of getting a camping spot it depends where you fancy camping. Pennard Hill might be tight by time you get in but i shouldn't imagine any other problems

Don’t see any issues with that time wise … might be an hour wait for shuttle … but that won’t matter as the gates aren’t open the other end …. You’ll be fine for pretty much all camping areas

  • 2 weeks later...

What are people's experiences with the shuttle out on Monday morning to the drop and collect at Bath & West? Are the queues crazy long as can be the case with Castle Cary or pretty painless?

Aiming to get picked up there 11:30 AM so was hoping if at the queue by 10 AM then we should be safe. If it was OK when you got it on Monday what time was that?

Cheers!

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
