Anyone know how good the canvas on the Scout Tents is at stopping the tent warming up when the sun comes up?

Just wondering if I should get myself a Fresh Tarp to put over the canvas to reflect the morning sun away and cool the tent down.

They do get quite warm but you tend only to be in the tent at night so not a problem. They do however let in a lot of light which can be annoying at five in the morning when you are trying to sleep.  One tip is to take a spare  piece of groundsheet for the area inside the door as only the sleeping bit has a built in groundsheet. This gives you somewhere to store wellies, stove etc off the bare earth.
