Coach/train home options

Hi everyone. Long time reader, first time poster here but now that I'm in the Glasto 2022 is 100% happening mindset, I need to ask some advice about what to do for this year's festival.

I managed to get coach tickets for my group of 6 but in the panic of getting through the holding page, booked single coach tickets for us all. So we currently have transport to the festival but no means of getting back.

What would people advise regarding getting back on the Monday? On the National Express website I'm only seeing single coach tickets to the festival or return tickets. Do they sell single tickets back to London or is the train a better option for us here? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

My first port of call would be See Tickets and ask if they could sell/upgrade you to a return ticket, and if that fails speak to NE to see if they would sell you a single ticket back to London

Or get up early as anything on the Monday, and catch the first train back to London...I say early as you first need to get a shuttle bus off site then queue to get into the train station.

I have heard stories of people getting on See ticket coaches back without tickets as some people don't turn up for them so you could risk that but if it was me I would prefer to know how I'm getting home before I get to the festival!

I was going to suggest this as it's free and I reckon it would work, but it's a risky strategy.

You could post here to look for a lift share but your group of six would obviously need to split.

National Express do sell Single tickets. Just go to their main page (not the Glastonbury page) and you can book there.

Personally wouldn't bother with See, as they won't change a booking under normal circumstances.

oh wow!

    • Consider that the sound quality can be better near the front bars right behind the soundbooth rather than closer to the stage, like with mbv. And of course, the front sections are full of talkers too.   The most courteous move would be to have conversations in the very back of the field.
    • I mean...I do think it all needs more regulation, but god knows how when it's all so global...but there's so much stuff on there that is messing with our little minds. But also, he has given these companies till September, and well...he'll surely be gone by then. I think social media ban for under 16s will likely happen, but I think regulating it for everyone is better. It's the not the kids we should be worried about, it's all those middle aged doom scrolling keyboard warriors like me.
    • I agree the prices are tough for locals. You can see if Porto timetable is the type that works for you and it's a terrific city. Also cheaper. https://www.primaverasound.com/es/porto/lineup-porto
    • thanks XXialac! i guess for us the most important aspect will be a festival that starts very late in the day, specially in these southern countries were it can be really hot! The combination of visiting a new city, having good lunches and enjoying a festival is a absolute must for us. Also, we like headliners but the undercard is just as important; truly enjoyed Men I trust, NewDad, Big Thief this year so from that angle it is not really a big thing if a festival is somewhat smaller.    Apparently my bad, i had 5 in my system but 0.5 (10%) increase is still huge. I am not sure how teenagers can afford these prices............
