This seems fair enough. From what I have read the members preferred choice was prevented from running last time due to claims found to be false. So now they can have the MP they wanted.

Ireland wasn't promising its people a better standard of living from indy. Scotland has been, but its not there to be had, cos the uk gives Scotland loads, like its renewable energy, plus loads more.

Anyway, don't think they'll get referendum granted, so maybe it will end up in courts...and maybe they will have a referendum anyway...and then depending on how that goes Sturgeon may quit and the Scots can  just put up living in an english tory shithole.

me neither cos that would be an obligation on Westminster to act on behalf of just Scotland. (which probably breaks some obscure bit of legislation). the devolution bill is very clear on this subject. if the snp don't accept that part, maybe it should void the Scottish parliament part too).

so why haven't the snp done the Scandinavian thing  under devolution? they've been more new-labour than blair. not a jot of left-wing, they'd rather spend money on a vanity contest than help scots with the cost of living right now.
