Also supports the monarchy and the whole class system and retained wealth that hangs from it...

for that part you could also say, "he's a democrat"

Also, he isn't a socialist.

Also, see Spain.

there's always been conflict within socialism, between the radical revolutionary types, and the democrats  wich is why there's social democrats.

Just goes to show how hard it is for the Labour party to both get elected and make meaningful change.

people don't like change, so the trick is to not promise or do, too much change. thatcher was eventually brought down by changing too much.

I thinkmany  people would like some sort of change, but abolishing the monarchy is probably not it (at the moment).

they'd be happy with limited change like that, while worrying what further consequences that change would have.

How do you know ‘they’ would feel like this?

And yet we live in a period where there has been massive change with the consent of the people - e.g. Brexit...

But that was about seeking the past...

We really are a strange little country 🙂

It was a massive change though.

as barry said, a change back to the past, and as they know that past, that past isn't scary.

What are people expected to do? Queue to join The Queue? I'd be well pissed off if I had traveled all the way down to that London just to be left waiting around for 6 hours. It's not as though there is anything to do is there?

I think it's a health and safety thing, people now queueing for up to 14 hours. But yeah, what do you do when you reach the end of the queue and told can't join the end of the queue, wait there?

What’s the general queue time on the Tuesday/Wednesday of Glastonbury? It’s about 12 hours isn’t it?

I don't see how it wasn't "massive change"...  to revert back so dramatically ...

it was a masive change, but not a scary one as the change was to somewhere they'd been already for many leavers.
