The charities that benefit from the festival will miss out this year on the cash they get from us. Oxfam, Wateraid, Greenpeace.  It might be a good idea if anyone who can afford it would consider giving them a bit extra? I’ve increased my monthly contribution to wateraid.  I understand the government is going today to look at the effect of the current situation on charities .

I donated extra to Oxfam the day of cancellation.  I'm a regular giver and this months newsletter highlights the issue, naming the absence of Glastonbury this year as a significant issue to their work.

Doesn't matter what you can afford....a few pence even can make a difference.

Further to discussions here a few weeks ago, I did write to the festival suggesting 2020 festival memorabilia, profits going to their charities and those affected by the festival cancellation, they did reply that it would be considered. Hope it happens.

I do support Greenpeace, and my son has just established an NGO which is equivalent to Water Aid for Uganda which I'm very actively supporting.
