Are the campervan fields open yet?

Not many about.. a few caravans/ motorhomes about. Nothing busy.

Not as many around as last year. Woman at the gate said they were aiming for 8am open but they cant open the gates until it stops raining.

If I turned up now in my CV would I be able to wait or would I get sent on ?

Probably not, as they can’t allow vehicles to wait on the road. My best guess would be to try at 8, if it’s not yet open you’ll have to drive past.

In 2017 I turned up around half 9, and ended up in E23 as the whole of E20 was full already. It must be a manic hour or so!

Officially it’s midday. In practice it’s usually much earlier

Rain looks like it's going to carry on for ateast an hour, very wet where I am just up the road. Will they open the gate anyway ?

I thought they'd shut all the laybys? What time did you bag yours?

About 8pm last night ! Just had another van pull in with us about 10 minutes ago to fill it up , although a lorry did spend the night there. Police had a look at us a couple of times last night but drive straight past
