Were you the girl that won on Steve Lamacq's show last year and gave the second ticket of the pair to the guy she just beat in the competition?

Won on radio 1 through the song montage (I was the girl who cried live on the radio ha!)

Hello everyone. I am currently on a cheap holiday. The condition was we attend a sales pitch presentation this morning. It's a modern day timeshare. We said no, we had no intention of signing up.

The reps asked us about our interests and we mentioned festivals and Glastonbury. I was assured that a membership benefit was access to event tickets, including Glastonbury.  I didn't believe this and was shown a brochure that specifically mentioned Glastonbury. My OH wasn't surprised but it made me sad and annoyed. I wonder what percentage of tickets overall are available for people who can afford to pay well over the cost of a ticket.

A pretty amazing prize even if you already have Glasto tickets!

Thanks for posting that. I've put in an entry. I couldn't possibly go to all the festivals in the prize so am really only after the Glastonbury ones.

    • Consider that the sound quality can be better near the front bars right behind the soundbooth rather than closer to the stage, like with mbv. And of course, the front sections are full of talkers too.   The most courteous move would be to have conversations in the very back of the field.
    • I mean...I do think it all needs more regulation, but god knows how when it's all so global...but there's so much stuff on there that is messing with our little minds. But also, he has given these companies till September, and well...he'll surely be gone by then. I think social media ban for under 16s will likely happen, but I think regulating it for everyone is better. It's the not the kids we should be worried about, it's all those middle aged doom scrolling keyboard warriors like me.
    • I agree the prices are tough for locals. You can see if Porto timetable is the type that works for you and it's a terrific city. Also cheaper. https://www.primaverasound.com/es/porto/lineup-porto
    • thanks XXialac! i guess for us the most important aspect will be a festival that starts very late in the day, specially in these southern countries were it can be really hot! The combination of visiting a new city, having good lunches and enjoying a festival is a absolute must for us. Also, we like headliners but the undercard is just as important; truly enjoyed Men I trust, NewDad, Big Thief this year so from that angle it is not really a big thing if a festival is somewhat smaller.    Apparently my bad, i had 5 in my system but 0.5 (10%) increase is still huge. I am not sure how teenagers can afford these prices............
