If you have the time and inclination, I would recommend trying to get as fit as you can in the run up to the festival. Being more fit this year made a huge difference to me, and I felt I saw much more of the site as a result. As someone else mentioned above, you could easily walk 10 miles a day which, for most, is a lot more than everyday life!

^^^  (and as others have also said).   This.  It is so true.

Quarky there listening to his Deezer, watching Beta-Max and playing the Dreamcast

I'll start by saying this has absolutely nothing to do with the thread ...   but @SwedgeAntilles I can see you're currently captioned as 'Red Leader'.  Oh that made me smile.  Many years ago as a 6th former, when I was canoeing round Poole Harbour with the marines (the SBS Special Boat Services was based there) as part of my Duke of Edinburgh activity, it was dusk and I was so tired, my arms aching from paddling, I was nearly back to the shore when a scuba diver surfaced and grabbed my canoe.  I can still hear him now asking me "are you Red Leader ?" :D

True story !     I'll get my coat ...

Hi,

I'm a Glasto first timer, so apols if this is a silly question. I've been through the FAQs and I think I know the answer, but you lot seem like a friendly lot, so I thought I'd just ask.

Having finally had a successful year getting tickets (after many years of trying), and also being successful getting my campervan field tickets. I'm just wondering if there is anything else I need to be aware of?

I know there is the balance to be paid, week beginning 1st April. Are there any other deadlines I need to be aware of? I'd be kicking myself if there was something I missed, because I wasn't aware of it.

Thanks,
Ian

If you've not done so already, have yourself a read through this http://www.glastoearth.com/the-faq

Betamax was technically superior and the Dreamcast had Sega Bass Fishing.  Just saying ;)

I loved my Dreamcast. Code Veronica up there with the best of the Resident Evil games and a guy used to sell pirated games in my local for a fiver.

Had to check this out on YouTube to see if it was actually a thing and oh my, I would by this game just for the voice acting alone.

Fishing rod accessory. Best peripheral ever.

    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.
