Big thumbs up to:

The Strongbow tree, playing some banging tunes with loads of space to chat, sit and dance

Lost Eden for providing a load of weird art

The Woodlands for the fab silent disco and some cracking music

The real ale bars for a great range of beer

Everyone who received a tickle from the two of us with feather dusters!

Teleman for my musical highlight of the weekend

@curlycal for a fab random chat and for sharing her amazing cherry bakewell cocktail

United utilities for supplying those lovely pouches for drinks

The weather!

What a great festival and only a real minority of knobheads.

I thoroughly enjoyed this year.

It seems complains about lack of arena toilets last year was listened to, which I was pleased about. They're still grim mind - but what can you do about that?! The dry ground allowed the camp site ones to be cleaned more often - win!

I’m likely to get lynched for this on here but I enjoyed the Hotpots set – if only to see the crowd get really into it.

I loved the comedy tent but it was far too small for Jason Manford – there were people lifting up the sides of the tent and trying to get in and just stood outside listening to the set.

I also loved Riot Jazz. It’s not somewhere I’ve spent a lot of time in past years, but we spent some great time in there just chilling out. Are the lights up to the top of the tent there every year? That makes for a great photo.

A lot of the headliners this year weren’t really to my taste so we spent a lot more time wandering round and stumbling upon things. I loved it and will almost certainly be back next year J

Haha,  yes it was!  Nice to meet you!

We carry our feather dusters about everywhere and meet hundreds of people through them!

Did you have 2 of these on sticks with brown feathers and maybe the odd ostrich type one ?

If so, me and the mrs had a blether and a tickle with you in the strongbow tree before the sugarhill gang :drinks:

Franz Ferdinand headline next year please!!

IF........Wickerman returns next year the weekend before then I could see FF headlining both like Primal Scream did a couple of years ago. Saw them at T in the Park a couple of years ago and they were brilliant.

Massive thumbs up for me. In no particular order :

The weather. Trainers all weekend. Never thought I`d see the day.

Madness - fantastic. For me, a perfect KC headliner. Great show and place was bouncing. Did they really do living on a prayer ?

The woodland area. When we first went 5 years ago ( i think ) Tim Peaks diner was a bit deserted and that end of the site was a bit of a damp squib. Not now, great job KC. Went a few walks through the woods and saw a few things. Good wander from the Jaeger tent right round to Calling Out.

Strongbow Tree. Good addition. Good tunes all day and night and good place to get a seat or a dance. Really friendly staff. Also liked my first trip to the Jaeger hut.

New bands courtesy of efesters :) Really enjoyed Moltov Jukebox - pity they turned up late and had to cut 20mins from their set.Rag and bone man, pretty good. Sly dogs ( I think ) in Calling out - they have all the rock n roll action going on. Watched the end of their set with Thurlow. Chainska brassika - it was late, we were wrecked but they were brilliant in chai wallahs. Cheers to all for the recommendations.

Baggy Mondays on Friday night - Great alternative to the dance tent, please book again next year. With the headliners finishing so early ( assume licence issues ) they need to have stuff like this and it was missing in the past.

Efest meet. You know who you are :) Great craic and sorted my hangover. Hopefully we will someday find out who the efester in the thong was. Pity he was too shy to come over and say hello

Some young fella around midnight on Friday doing some reggae in riot jazz.

The food.

Dub Pistols. What a shit slot for them. Waaaay too early on a Sunday lunchtime. I was there but in body only.

That song about the milkshake bringing the boys to the yard.

The bloke from Starsailor doing Beatles tunes in Houseparty plus the whole houseparty tent. Looked and sounded brilliant this year.

The pizza shop in Emperors. Karaoke type sing along on Saturday night around 2am. Apologies campers

Loads I have forgotten but all in all an excellent weekend. Cheers KC :drinks:

@neato I also loved the Hotpots! I've never witnessed an act getting the crowd going quite as much as they did! I planned to leave early and catch Will Varley... Ended up staying for the whole set and catching the last 3 songs of Will.

I've caught bits and pieces of them before and couldn't understand why they had such a big crowd but this year I think they pulled it out the bag :)

We had also planned to head elsewhere but didn't in the end!

It was just fantastic this year. Oh how i long to be back hence browsing this site!!  Highlight was Horseman in the ever fantastic Chai Walla!  never seen him without Prince Fatty - fantastic set. also the weather - the bars - the sun - the people - loved the extra security, and there defo was a lot less knob heads .  Emperor so clean and tidy - excellent loos. Did anyone walk down to the village green? they had top notch facilities there - starting to wonder how Emperor can charge more now!

I'm sorry to do this but I've got to mention the car situation. Arriving from The North on Thursday afternoon and leaving on Monday morning - virtually straight in and out again! What was going on! Excellent organisation this time round. And we weren't in Emperors like you posh lot!

This is what happens on a mature festival site!  They eventually get it right! ;)

    • 1. Baby Dave - Billy 2. A - Prang   Not really got round to listening to many more in May so not really fair to vote but shoutout to EPs from Bleech 9:3 - Bleech 9:3 & Villanelle - Measly Means
    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
