Boringly, I just liked the sound!  I have jotted down a few more - will check my list and report back.

When I went in 2014 I fell in love with Gaz Brookfield who played at the Avalon cafe - his songs are about his experiences, life etc including one about being diagnosed with diabetes.  He's a "man with guitar" type folk-ish singer so may be up your street - he's tbc for this year too so I will try to see him again.

I absolutely love Gaz.  He's confirmed he isnt at Glasto this year  on facebook - hope he's been booked since.

Just discovered this powerful song and video by Rokia Traoré.  Brings it all into context.

Of course it is a luxury to be sitting in a comfortable home with a computer, pondering which acts you might like to go and see.

I saw Rokia at Glastonbury before.  Caused me to miss Bruce Springsteen guesting with the Gaslight Anthem, Bruce being my big number one.  Still, Rokia was great.
