Wow what a day. It's taking me this long to calm down and post on here. I've been monitoring the various discussions almost daily for the last few months, however as I'd missed out on tickets in the general sale I literally felt like I couldn't contribute.

I saw the threads offering to help those without tickets, however as I haven't really been an active member (not just in the last few months, really over the last 3-4 years) I felt like it would have been rude to ask for help, even though I was absolutely bricking it today and wanted to ask the world! What I can say though is that the way everyone pulled together on here to help those without tickets was simply incredible, and it's that spirit that keeps me hooked. I know there were some who have still missed out, and I feel for you I really do. I do have a page monitor set up, as others do, and I'll try my best to help anyone I can.

I guess finally I just wanna say thanks for being a fantastic bunch. I'm even gonna try and come along to the efests meet as I actually feel like I know some of you (I am not naming before anybody asks!).

Nice one, glad you got the tickets sorted and can look forward to planning for the festival. I agree there is solid community of decent types on these boards which is a refreshing change from some of the tubes you come across on the internet nowadays!

Really does feel like a weight of the shoulders and I can properly get planning now! I've been spending the day going through the announced / strongly rumoured acts and updating the iPod. Has been bliss.

And yes it's certainly refreshing - great community.

Agreed that the spirit on this site with people helping eachother out is fantastic. 

I was unlucky today too, and I am just as gutted as others. 

I wasn't organised this morning, but some wasn't my own fault. I was awake until 6.30am worrying about today, was in a right state! So when my alarm went off at 8.15 i turned it off in my sleep! Woke up at 6 mins to 9, fired the laptop up and tried my best. 

In the middle of the panic I had an unexpected email from a member on here, saying page up! I sent my reg no, then realised I had left off postcode. 

Straight away I went to send the postcode, and would you believe it my damn phone had a meltdown! 

Must of been a 30 secs delay max, so who knows if I would of made it or not. 

Condolences to all who missed out, we all know what it means to us efesters.

It's always the way, just when you want things to run smoothly it doesn't go to plan. Keep your spirits up, there's always the secret resales! I'm sure if you stay glued on here as much as possible you'll have a great chance

That is a great option, the group camping in front of me last year did that, a couple/few hours most days over the weekend - they had a great time!

Big thank you from me as well, especially to @Avalon_Fields who put ticketless folks in teams.

I wouldn't have a ticket now if it wasn't for this forum.  Everyone I know that wanted a ticket has got one now.

Best of luck to those still working on this.  I know how it feels.  I literally bursted into tears one year when I was ticketless when I saw a news item on TV that the actress who plays Dot Cotton in Eastenders arrived on the festival site.  Nothing against her, but it felt so unfair that she was there and I was getting ready for work…..

That must have been awful. As this was my first time going through the resales I was resigned to the fact this wasn't going to be my year. I was debating up to 9:10 yesterday morning whether or not I could bring myself to watch it on the TV, or whether to book a week away from the UK altogether!

It's true this forum is amazing. I also didn't ask for help as I'm more of a lurker than an active poster, so didn't think it appropriate, and sadly I missed out - that feeling of sinking realisation that it's not going to happen is brutal.

Concocting ways to get a ticket is literally consuming all of my waking thoughts and last night I dreamt I was on the booking page. I'm probably going to be clinically insane by the time this is all over.

I actually almost missed out on tickets myself. I had my brother and his girlfriend helping the cause even though they aren't coming. I got through to the booking page just after 9:10, only to submit the form and have the 'tickets unavailable' message pop up. Devastated. Ten seconds later the bro calls to say he got the tickets. I didn't believe him. Had him screenshot the confirmation page and everything.
