Ditch the wellies and go for walking boots

Ditch the poncho and get a proper waterproof coat.

And as ever, I am recommending space blankets.

Sunglasses (but you can easily buy a pair)

Bin liners and ziplock bags for waterproofing your stuff.

I also swear by a money-belt for cash and phone - not for theft, but when in churning crowds / moshpits etc.

Have to disagree with both of those although i would take a waterproof coat as well as a DECENT ponch, not one of these paper thin see through pieces of crap but an army style one. Keeps the legs dry if you are standing in a field for hours a coat don't cut it in my experience.

Definitely disagree with walking boots instead of wellies. 2007. Nuff said. But each to their own. Boots can be hosed down when you have half the field on you. In 07 you would have got mud going in to the top of your walking boots. Again - each to their own.

SUNGLASSES!  Can't imagine how i missed that thinking of Glasto!? ;-) good catch.

For locating Festival Pedophiles?

That is quite a list. :-)  I tend to try and travel as light as possible as going by coach.

I guess i could add food to my list, although i tend to eat about twice once i'm there...

Re walking boots:

I wore mine yesterday for my walk around the site. I've got to say, the dry mud that slips into your boots and socks isn't very comfortable. I will be taking them, but wellies also!!

I think you need to reassess your boots, you shouldn't be getting any mud inside the boot

mine are only ankle high but I've never had mud go inside
