Red Funnel delays!

Gah all packed and about to leave to catch the 7.15pm ferry, one last check of my email and there's a message from Red Funnel saying due to technical issues ferry travel is delayed by 3 chuffing hours! There goes all my plans for a nice crossing on the 'sunset' cruise, pint and a meal on the island, meeting up with friends etc

Big time sucky. At least I caught the email - would have been extra pissed off to have slogged my way through the rush hour traffic down to southampton only to sit in the car park for 3 hours. Oh well worse things happen at sea!

Chaos at the red funnel terminal now. Approach roads all jammed up. Moved about 100yds in 40mins. Won't even make the 22.30 crossing at this rate.

Nope didn't make it. Parked in the terminal now so should get on the next one at 23.50. Allvthis because of one failed crossing at 6pm. Staff saying they'll just keep running until they've cleared the backlog so imagine they'll be back to normal by the morning so you guys should be OK - so long as they don't have another breakdown of course

The website says it's green service again now with no delays. Are the roads all still backlogged etc?

Car park is completely full But there's no queues now outside on the approach roads so the backlog is nearly gone.

..and we're off. I'm a bit worried there's nobody in the crow's next looking out for icebergs.

Nice and clear when we got there at 5.45 this morning, well, there was a bit on the road, but everyone was making their ferries ok

I suppose red funnel delays is better than a ferry sinking and red funnels disappearing under water.
