Shops nearby?

Was just wondering if there where any shops nearby? I've searched on maps but they are far away, any closer to the site or within the site for booze or is it just what you bring is what you drink for the weekend?

Cheers

The shops on site don't sell booze but do sell soft drinks. Only the bars sell booze at London prices. The shops outside aren't really accessible. You could drive but then you'd end up parked miles away from the festival when you return. I would bring your booze with you.

It certainly wouldn't be a quick jaunt across the road to Tesco like at Reading Festival, I would take with you everything you think you'll need, the on site shops aren't the cheapest and you aren't guaranteed to get what you are looking for as the shops don't sell drink, and if you are after a cold pint if(when) it's a glorious weekend, then use the bars

i was thinking it wasnt gna be as easy as reading festival is :D

If you're driving to the festival, take more crates than you expect to need. Go back to the car as if it's a nearby shop. Any leftovers will help with the Glasto blues when you get home..

Good idea leaving crates in the car, gna do that and take more spirits than beer to lessen the weight :)

How many shops are there on site? I've only been once but never really saw any (not that I was looking that hard mind)

Plenty, can buy almost anything you'll need, exception being alcohol as mentioned above.

Not really sure. I have seen quite a few but couldn't tell you where they are. I'm in michaels mead to the right of the pyramid and use that one regularly.

Too much hassle to go into town, just keep any supplies of drink or whatever you can't carry in your car ( or if going by coach in a friends car?)

Well I'm going up on my own on the Monday as I'm required on site as I am volunteering. So I'm getting the train and can't be taking a few crates of cider for obvious reasons.. So I'll hopefully go into town on the Tuesday

EDIT: I know this question wasn't directed at me but some people can't bring much alcohol at all
