DC site services still have applications open, I got accepted for them today but then cancelled due to getting a steward position with Oxfam. If you select to work at Glastonbury you will have a better chance of being selected if you sign up to do smaller events.

Hey was this for volunteering or paid? They said they had nothing when I asked a few days ago

Interested to hear about the volunteering.  What festivals have people volunteered for and whats it like.  Considering volunteering for a few festivals other than glastonbury.  Is it just all youngsters?  Im in my forties so any advice gratefully received.

Sorry off topic slightly but ive had enough of refreshing for tonight?

I've worked at loads of festivals stewarding and you have a mix of ages normally you have to be older than 18 thats it

I didn't think of checking Siblin's emails from last year. Having had a look it just said 'Glastonbury 2015 tickets' with no mention of limited availability. From that I'm guessing that it wasn't just a decision to have a very quick final resale but that there were indeed very few tickets returned after the refund deadline this year. That tallys with the relatively small number of people on here and the whatsapp groups who secured tickets compared with the previous year (when almost everyone who was online at the time got them).

Maybe more people were happy with the announced line up this year, or maybe it's another sign of the festival's growing popularity.

DCSS have a mixture of Volunteer (typically 3 x 8 hour shifts) and paid (typically 5 x 12 hour shifts) - which were you accepted for?

The email didn't say.  When I applied I think it was 4x12 hour shifts.

Congrats to those who were successful with stewarding jobs, so genuinely pleased for you, after the last few weeks of effort, its been hardcore and emotional - see you in the fields.

Good luck to all waiting on competition results.

If there any students that are looking for work at Glasto then they could try emailing [email protected] she mentioned that a company called creative bar work will be recruiting imminently.

You would need to register with seedstaff online when you email Holly.

I think its just students but may be worth a shot for anyone to try.

sorry to revisit yesterday's Oxfam stewarding questions. Does anyone know if you have to put a deposit down to just go on the waiting list? Thanks

No you don't, you only put down the deposit when the applications are open.
