The quiet before the October sale.

I really think our next sale of tickets will be October.

Or the used 2016 tickets that go up on eBay as memorabilia...

Morning all, been looking at Green Man festival as an alternative for this year.... any thoughts or experiences?

I did Green Man in 2012. Beautiful setting, but poor line-up apart from Alt-J. Very small, I think we did the whole of it in an hour! Lovely walks by the river but a disappointing festival, and an absolute nightmare to get off the car park after rain. Every car stuck and no help in sight. Won't be going again :(

Yes seems unnervingly stable today at SEE - all our familiar pages still hanging in there, including crowd-favourite '900001'

This page provides me with the hope that I need.  Hope almost faded away until the page's reappearance late yesterday.

Typical that they tinkered with the pages at just before 5pm!! Just off home from work!! Swines!

Does anyone know if the don't pee poster comp has been decided yet? still holding my breath on that lol

They contacted the winner within 3 working days of the competition ending. They probably won't make a public announcement until they've finished tweaking the design etc.

We can only raise a measly 73 participants even, today! It's just not trendy here anymore ;)

I'm still here... just have a lot of work to get on with!

Thing that annoys me most is that they wont just officially announce all tickets are gone, (as i most likely). Has to be some sort of endurance torture spectacle organise by SeeTickets, who monitor this page and laugh as we slowly deteriorate into madness with every passing day.

Hello,

Found this forum/thread last night after discovering the weird resale thing on Thursday (was fully expecting it to be 3pm yesterday after last years timings) and thought I'd say hi!

This is the first time we've not managed to get tickets and still hoping that we can get hold of 3.

It's nice to know that there are other people out there who are still hopeful and obsessively hitting F5!

Getting a bit desperate now... My only hope is the fact that another resale hasn't been ruled out as they have in previous years.

Don't suppose anyone knows if the National Express competition winner has been announced?

They never really 'announce' them, more contact the winner via phone or e-mail. They don't usually publically share details unless it was a competition ran on a social media platform. It would have probably said in the terms and conditions something like 'Winners name and country can be obtained by sending a self addressed envelope to ..... after a certain date'

    • Yeah, I think it's important to differentiate between a stage that's just a platform for the artist to walk on (which can be assembled fairly quickly and without too much difficulty), and the custom staging that you get in big productions where there's a whole world underneath.   Using the Eras tour as an example the stage extending out into the stadium field has all sorts - lifts that go up or down - down most importantly as this allows performers to enter or to leave the stage as needed. There's passageways to get from one part of the stage to another. There's what are effectively dressing rooms set aside for costume changes. There's spare instruments (and techs to look after them) so if something goes wrong above they can be swapped out in the space of seconds. There's even a track and dolly system running the full length of the stage so that Taylor can be moved from one end to the other faster than she'd be able to walk.   I don't know the specifics of the Madonna tour to the same degree but my understanding is that a lot of the same techniques are used.
    • Wow just got myself some Megadeth tickets and not sure I can afford another set of tickets for another gig so soon but we'll see. Fingers crossed
    • Can't speak for Dua Lipa's, but Coldplay's was vastly scaled down compared to their stadium production staging though, and tracks were adapted to reflect that. MOTS tour had a full walkway 30m out to the B-Stage in the middle of the crowd, and two C-Stages. Glastonbury didn't accommodate that at all and just had a very small walkway in front of the Pyramid stage, and (IIRC) a disconnected B-Stage.   Which re-enforces my point. Acts can adapt their stage shows if they really want. Most do, some don't want to. Glastonbury might miss out on the odd act that doesn't want to slightly adapt, but so will most festivals.
