Know this has been asked before but I have searched and searched and cant find it.

IF we get coach tickets is it possible to drive a car down on the Tuesday night, leave it there and come home before coming down on the coach the next day? Appreciate it would mean a bit of a walk out of the car park and it would also mean someone sitting in their car near to the gate entrance but is it possible?

We have a friend with a full ticket already so he will be able to buy a car park ticket for us as I know you cant technically buy these with coach tickets.

Thanks so much for any reply and good luck to everyone tonight and on Sunday!

Yes this is possible - hope you arent driving too far though.

Having a minor heart attack every time I think about the resale tonight. It's http://glastonbury.seetickets.com I want to be refreshing, right?

Also how does choosing a coach work? Do I pick a specific coach or just give them a vague time or something?

As far as I can remember, there are specific times for each day but not entirely sure!

there's the resale this week, but everyone who has a ticket (now or after resale) has until May sometime to cancel. These cancellations (vety few) go on sale later on in May, but aren't announced. The ticket page on See just becomes active again. Last year they did 3 or 4 separate windows about 14:30 on consecutive days.

If you keep your eyes peeled on here, people will post when they've noticed they're open, or there are follow that page websites (you need someone more techy than I to advise on that) but the windows only stay open for about ten minutes each time.

Ah I actually remember hearing something about that, completely forgot about it. I'll be trying for 2 tickets on Sunday but if I don't succeed this will be my last resort.

I'm actually a programmer and can write a script to ping the page every x minutes and send me an SMS if it changes, however I'm not sure what page I'd need to follow, would it be this one.. http://glastonbury.seetickets.com/content/gfl-worthy-view?

Think it must be as that is the one we are being directed to when you press the link on the official Glasto site.

Any tips for getting high up on the queue?

For other similar ticket sales I've found it helpful to get in the queue well before the supposed sale start time. Is it similar here?

Also used to hear stories that iPhones (presumably this was mobiles in general) got there quicker.

Finally, from personal experience, it was always our friend in the US who got through first. Something to do with location of SeeTicket servers?

That's the link

Think so, but possibly without the worthy view suffix. I'm not really good at that sort of stuff

The worthy view bit always seems to be there when you click the link

Although we don't have tickets (yet!) this year I have always found that the quickest way to get through is using safari on 3g on my phone. This year I forgot the safari bit and I am convinced that this is why I didn't get through.

If I do get tickets that way I will post on here straight away to let you all know.

Best of luck to everyone this evening and Sunday. First time in a decade I didn't get tickets in the initial sale so I'll be trying my best to bag tickets tonight.

I might be wrong to be optimistic, but the line-up announcement and additional single coach packages being announced lead me to assume that there are a larger number of returns than in previous years. I could be well off the mark, but at least that's what I'm telling myself!

There are always people that say that certain computers/devices are better. A Mac works best. Or an iPhone on 4G. Or a Android device powered by kryptonite. But there's not really too much truth in that. This year in the main sale I gathered up all my and my girlfriends computers and devices and had them running at the same time. We had a MacBook Pro, an iPad, and iPhone on wifi, an iPhone on 4G and also a seven year old laptop with a cracked screen that overheats after 20 minutes of use. Refreshed all devices as soon as the tickets went on sale and the crappy old computer went straight in and I was purchased and done within 2 minutes. My main advice would be that the device doesn't matter, you need to be patient with screens loading and not have more than one screen running on the same device as that can cause clashes.

I just tried a practice run and after putting in where I wanted the coach from it came up with tickets available from 9.00 on Sunday 19th, just to add to the confusion

*Just realised that Mash011 has beaten me to it

I have a question...

How do the coach tickets work in terms of allocation between cities? For example if everyone who got through wanted a ticket from Nottingham for some reason then would they all get a ticket and then Glasto would make sure there were more coaches in Nottingham to cover the allocation. Or, are there a finite number for each city left? For example 10 in Nottingham, 7 in Birmingham, 12 in Manchester etc...

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
