I've seen security at the gate checking folks camping gear and asking if that's a gazebo ! And they get told no and either put them in the bin at the gate or take them back to the car .

Yeah emperor you can do what ever you want or it appears that way there's always a few camp boddingtons where some lancashire campers take over a large space , wind breakers communal bbq area large central chaired area with all there tents in a circle , hotpot flags and so on ! You get the picture!

The official stance is they don't allow them, personally never heard of anyone being asked or made to take one down though.

A couple of years ago we put one up on the Thursday and got told to take it down until Friday..... We were in emperors. No problem last year though

    • Aldous Harding absolutely brilliant in Dublin last night. Quirky as ever but sounded magnificent. Played everything off the new album I think, it all sounded fantastic. Band, including H Hawkline, were understated but excellent. Another one to look forward to.
    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
