I agree, R/L has much more in the way of rock acts on as that's the festivals' focus. But most of the acts he mentioned have headlined Glasto in the last few years (and Biffy have been further down the bill). Perhaps I should have put 'stereotypical headliners'.

Is true, but that's picked out from the past ten years. Each year it's only 1 or 2 of those

I was going to suggest Download but goddamn that's a weird line up to me - must be getting old

If I can get someone to go to Glastonbury I think I'll go if not I will probably go to R & L

You don't necessarily need someone to go with. There are loads of people (some off this site) who go on their own and meet up in groups organised closer to the festival on this site (and elsewhere, I believe). We had a top bloke (hello S) accidentally 'join' our group this year. As I had an efests t shirt on he thought me and my mates were the efests group he had arranged to meet up with. It was only on the Sunday afternoon that he realised that he was with the wrong group of people! Basically, he just came over to us on day one and started chatting to the group. At first it was thought by the group that he was an undercover cop. This then moved onto the theory that he was in some way religious, barking mad etc etc At the end of the day he just hung around with us during the festival and had a very good time - well he certainly did when he was administered an e and a bit of MDMA!

What I'm trying to say is don't be restrained by being on your own. I've never been to R or L but know from friends and from this site that Glastonbury is by far the better experience. You'll not get 'it' by going to either of those festivals.

    • I saw that the payment method is contactless wristbands - I understand you collect them at the festival site and can top them up there as well? Yes, there are top up points, keep the recepe if you want to withdraw the money in the end   How much does food and drink usually cost at the festival? We would like to know how much money we should prepare for the festival. Beer, Wine etc. 5€, Gin tonic, Whishkey Cola were 6-6.5€, food 10€    Is there a bus from the festival site to the city center? And are there any stops along the way? No offical info yet, but ussualy there are free festival buses from Ljubljanica to festival site, with few stops on the way. Nice to get to the festival but crowded from festival back to the city.   Where is the best place to find an Uber/Bolt to return from the festival site?
