Stomach bug, anyone else?

I'm convinced it was from the tap water although I don't know why! I managed to buy bottled water and on Saturday night I thought I should try and be greener so I filled my bottle up from the tap at the top of the pyramid. Witching twenty minutes I'd thrown up all over my tent. I the. Slept from late Saturday night until this morning. I've never felt so I'll in my life. Does anyone think it's a good idea to have drinking water taps so close to the open Loos with all that waste swimming around in the rain. I was also told that the water there has particularly high amounts of chlorine in it and that could've upset my stomach. Such a shame. I lost half the festival and, not to booze or drugs!

I didn't hear of any cases like this but funnily enough someone in our group was convinced for some time he had a stomach bug, though a trip to the medical tent soon revealed in fact it was because he had taken something a little different to what he thought he had...

As for the tap water, I believe the festival when they say it's highly maintained and monitored, perhaps it was something you ate?

I was bad on the first day. Couldn't have been the water as I didn't have any (I don't think).

A friend of mine had almost exactly the same experience, although I will spare you the worst of the details, so yes. On the day before, we had two meals that we shared, and filled our bottles from the same taps, and I wasn't ill... so goodness knows what caused it.

Three of our party had some kind of issue although mostly put this down to the amount of alcohol and ex smokers smoking for the festival

I drank copious amounts of.tap water and had no issues whatsoever

I was very sick on Thursday. Convinced it was from a food trader. I was surprised how few of them wore gloves this year.

If it was water bound illness it would be an absolute pandemic, so I doubt it's related to that. Feel much better very soon!

I've been pooing since I've been home but I think that's from the Burger King adjoiing a Little Chef a little way out of the festival.

I bought two small bottles of water on the he Wednesday, but other than that I drank tap water exclusively. I've been fine (so far). Much more likely to be something you ate, I'd say - or simply bad luck. In a environment like Glastonbury, I think there's always an increased risk of getting something.

My girlfriend picked something up a couple of years ago and she's incredibly careful about what she eats and handwashing. Only takes one slightly lax trader, for instance.

Tap water all the way, no problem. Obviously you shouldn't touch the tap with your container & give your hands a rinse after filling it up.
