wow guess not everybody loves glastonbury.;....just read this comment from someone posting on facebook under a promotional power charger thing thread from ee to do with glasto.....name removed obviously tried to paste from the site but not allowed so heres the quote.......

Actually, no, it's not normal, it's statistically lower than we would expect.

Given the attendance is approx 250,000 we would expect to see approx

2-3 deaths during the duration of the festival IIRC.

Only if the festival had a population distribution similar to that of the country generally... which it doesn't. The older (read octogenarian) crowd are far sparser percentage of the whole in a festival environment than in the general population.

And we assume that by far the largest group is 25-35 year olds, with 250k people in the festival, 50:50 men and women, then it works out at around 1.1 deaths average over three days...
