YAY get rid of the fucking Turdises. I'm not particularly fussy when it comes to hygiene but when your nearest toilet option is a turdis at 7am D:

Toilets that don't smell eh? That Eavis is a clever un, I did notice this though "cash-free food stalls", first i've heard of this, they won't get any of my money.

The compost toilets were pretty awesome last year, clean, minimal smell, so the fact they're introducing more of them is great.

I had a she wee and a bottle to avoid the turdises at 7am. Not classy, but preferable to having to wander out at daft o clock in the morning lol. Much more inclined to use the baby wipes and maintain the decent loos.

Haha, not sure how the cash free food stalls will work, but going by public transport this year so looking forward to seeing what food vouchers are handed out.

I suspect he means food stalls where you don't need cash to pay (card accepting) rather than a stall where you CAN'T use cash, press articles featuring Eavis have a habit of getting it wrong.

I used one of the compost toilets last year. Going to the toilet is actually a pleasant experience when you use one. Mind you I have seen them beyond full on going home day at one festival I went to. That's not a pretty sight. Note a pretty site either - technically speaking.

I used a compost loo in 08 but it was a private stall called 'comfy crappers'. There was about a 20 min queue to use them and it was a few quid to use. They were alright, didn't smell, you just had to sprinkle sawdust on top of your business and away you went. To be honest I don't know why I didn't just use one of the other ones. Still haven't ever used one of the turdises though, last time I was camped by long drops and managed to use those which from what I've heard seem marginally better.

I didn't have to wait for more than a couple of minutes for compost loos last year. Not many people seemed to use them, maybe embarrassed about taking in a cup of sawdust.

Turdis is a last resort for me, hoping they have more female urinals this year. They were also pretty decent.

You know when I said I've seen much worse? You literally have piles of shit pertruding out of the bowl in a high % of the turdises if you catch them in the right time of day. And you're kind of lucky if the isn't shit, piss and dirty tissues on the seat it's self as well.So yeah be thankful that the worst you've experienced is the long drops of which the worst of it can generally be dealt with by a bit of toilet paper and a willingness to clean your hands.

I'm not sure I'm convinced about these new long drop loos, to me it sounds like all the benefits with the management of them rather than to the end user. It simply means they don't have to go empty them periodically throughout the event.

lol not at all but by the sounds of it the new loos will replace many of the porta toilets and imo they better than the long drops
