4 work days to go! The last one is next Wednesday which gives me several days to acclimatise myself to "Glasto time" Not back at work until the Thursday after Glastonbury either so plenty of recuperation time also. Excitement levels just keep increasing :)

I'm riding the crest of a wave of redundancy and it's pay off. Hopefully taking the whole summer off before looking for another job. It originally was going to be a year off but money just trickles through my hands, so I've now had to make adjustments. I know what you mean though about going into shut down mode while at work. Towards the end of working for my last employer I had just gone into shut down mode as a whole way of being. I just couldn't be arsed doing anything, so on the whole didn't. On the day I left I passed on a load of paperwork several inches thick. I think that's fair enough given that they are probably blaming everything that's wrong on me now that I've gone.

I may have to turn to becoming a Hari Kristna. They seem to turn up at festivals and don't do much else. Oh I forgot, they do have to bang some drums and twinkle some bells from time to time. Sounds like my kind of work.

So I had my meeting that I was worried was going to turn into a hardcore warning and trouble....

....and it was awesome. Virtually a promotion, now going to be involved in the top level planning at the company :D no more money natch

And that was the last thing holding me back - been singing and humming constantly and can barely hold it in anymore! The Time Is Now...

One more day until there's officially only one more full working week!

This weather is acting as a catalyst to the excitement as well, still, the weeks seem to be flying by recently.

My payday is Monday 23rd as well which should include a nice bit of overdue overtime :fpc:

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
