For anyone thinking of going to the Glade on Thursday here is a recent set...

He doesn't play Trance anymore so don't expect it!

Sadly I can't make it in time due to work commitments. Does anyone know if he plans to do any other sets across the weekend?

Cheers for any info

Cant see any details on any other sets over the weekend but you never know. Is at Space Ibiza on Sunday but could squeeze in a couple of secret slots in shangri la on the Friday or Saturday.

This is the set list from the Glade 2010 which was quite proggy with some more well know stuff such as Chemical Brothers, Underworld and Faithless thrown in with a bit of a drum and bass lite finale.

That's a bit like Tiesto though isn't it? He used to be a big trance DJ - now he's trying to 'get down with the kids' and plays some awful cheesy tunes. However he does tend to throw in his trance classics during his sets so a bit of Sasha's older stuff might be thrown in hopefully. I don't mind house music at all either

I have actually seen Sasha in 2007 and I'm sure he played some trance. Maybe not hardcore psychodelic trance but trancey lol. Well I really like his Involver albums - does he play any of that anymore?

As a massive fan of Tiesto - he has gone shite recently - he used to be so much better but seems he has turned his back on the trance genre altogether. His recent set at Radio 1's Big weekend is quite frankly bloody awful and nothing like he used to be. You are right - he is turning into David Guetta very swiftly to gain more radio play - tragic really

Trance isn't dead. You just have to listen to shows like Armins State Of Trance and look at the huge events in the Netherlands to see this.

Seeing as Armin is voted as the Worlds Number 1 DJ every year, I think he should be given a headline spot!

I used to go to Peach every week back in the day. The re-union a few weeks ago was amazing and such a lot of love back at Camden Palace. As a result it looks like it may be making a return.

The biggest problem is not the music - it's that the venues have been closed.

In 2010 in the Glade he did play a version of Xpander at the end (its been taken off the soundclound mixes) albeit a drum and bassy remix

I remember I had an essential mix CD in 1995 with Sasha, Carl Cox and Pete Tong mixes. The Sasha one only had 4 songs on there as they were all 10 minute prog monsters. This best thing I think is that he always plays the new stuff and is always evolving his sound and the latest mixes sound great.(Fatboy Slim should take note)

  • 2 weeks later...

The Glade is outdoor among the trees by The Other stage. They do put tarps up over the main dance area but when it's wet it does turn into a bog.
