i did and he was just mindblowingly good. Have seen him before and been to 400+ gigs but this was definitely up there amongst the best. went to the late show, queued in the pissing rain for an hour to wait for the earlier show to clear, but all worth it. awesome setlist, and his appeal for no photos worked so for a change a gig not viewed through 100s of phones screens (absolute pet hate of mine). Played everything you could wish for in the main gig, then reappeared another 4 times or so and eventually finished at way past the curfew.

He looks like a comical cross between Hendrix and Little Richard these days, but his musical poweress is still there in abundance. His girls are still hot and he absolutely funked out the Roundhouse.... a true musical genius.....still buzzing

I have to agree - the only Prince songs I can name are Kiss, Purple Rain and something about a chevvy?

I would MUCH rather see Tom Waits. Unfortunately I don't think that will ever happen now. :(

The Hydro in Glasgow.

If he reduced the medley aspect of the show to play full version of some of the tracks (instead of the covers at the end) he'd knock it out of the park.

Of the last four (I think) arena gigs I've been to, three of them were £30-odd and one was £60-odd (the £60 being Black Sabbath). I also went to a couple of stadium gigs for something like £55, and I've never seen an academy gig above £25, unless it's an unusually large act, so those prices posted earlier are definitely not the norm.

I'd say it's more like:

30-65 for an arena gig, unless it's a huge heritage act.

15-25 for a standard academy gig.

    • Lovely Brexit doc on bbc2 for anyone who wants to relive those golden years.
    • I think some folks are underestimating how many millennials, now into heavier music, were genuinely also into things like techno and happy hardcore in the 90s and early 00s. Scooter may be about is commercialized as it gets when it comes to happy hardcore and techno, but for many, they won't be just a 'silly act' they will be a genuine nostalgia act.
    • Can anyone share please as can’t access the app
    • Someone said something along the lines of "the lows were really low but they highs were really high" and I think that sentence sums up my ps experience this year. Thursday was a downer (even though I got to see men I trust, geese, oklou and fcukers), but the weather, the missed shows and the uncertainty (those comms...) made it a bad day. Friday and Saturday on the other hand where rly good, a bunch of amazing shows each day (The Cure one was quite something), that surprise on Saturday...   Will be back next year, hope they get another impressive lineup as this year (quality and quantity wise) and that tickets and  primarily hotels don't get much more expensive.
    • Rosalia Radiohead NIN MGMT Bjork David Byrne   Also Vince Staples' new album is cool. I could see him returning.
