Does anyone know how quickly these sell out?

I missed out on a Worthy View pod today so I'm going down the campervan route now. I've managed to get a small one for £500 for the week but they want the full amount up front. I'm worried that if I commit and miss out on a campervan ticket I'd have wasted £500....

West sells out pretty quickly but East is OK providing you pay full balance within the first couple of days. Last year they sold out, but then went back on sale so I would say pretty much everyone that wanted one managed to get one (as long as you didn;t suddenly decide you wanted one in the last few weeks:-)

We were in the same boat last year.. In fact, more so as we booked the van before we got tickets! That was more stressful.

As above, pay your balance on day 1 and you should be fine. We got in West no probs in 2013

Better depends on what you want to get to quickly on the site. I think West is smaller than East which also speeds up the sale. You should be able to buy a CV ticket easily, but there have been eFests threads and eBay posts on available tickets after the first sale too. Get your van, and then complete your ticket and CV pass soon when it reopens. Remember, no glass in the van, and there are threads on tips etc for vans too.

Does the van have cooking and washing facilities, as some posters have had issues getting in with modified vans - the Glastonbury website will have details on minimum requirements.

Are you sure you have your East and West the right way round people? I'd have expected the East to sell out quicker, it being the original side that the campervan fields were on, and being up the top of the Hill of Death no chance of being flooded.

Of course the hill could be the reason that people might not want to stay there.

As one of our group is "international" we just get them to pay for the campervan ticket seeing as they have to stump up for the balance a month or so before the rest of us, then there is no worry with things selling out for us.

East is a lot bigger hence why it doesn;t sell out at quickly. never been West so cannot comment which is 'better' ... I'm sticking East as I enjoy being at the top of the hill, don't mind the walk back, and love entering the festival near to the circus fields ... all personal opinion

I've done both of the cv fields. This year was my first year in East and I preferred it for its location. The hill of death was over rated too although in all fairness it was dry this year, I can only imagine the fun getting up and worse, down in sludgy conditions!! :-)

The great thing about the Hill of Death is that you get a magnificent view looking over the site.

No one complains about the an equal hill of death walking up to the Stone Circle. That's described as a Glasto must. Walk to the Stoned Circle without looking round, then when you get to the top, turn round and drink in the view.

The same could be said for the HoD.
