Too many times have I gone round to a person's house on an evening, promised that they, by their own reckoning, are "an excellent cook", only to see the use of the above grotesqueness. Etiquette dictates I must smile politely, eat it and tell them it was wonderful, but make no mistake, it's a practice that is abominable and wrong, and a one-way ticket off my Christmas card list.

Afternoon all, I have read this thread through with great interest, but you guys haven't mention yet, the one and only, (or several) Brussel sprouts - now they really are the work of an undercover network of builders, eat those and whoosh there goes the kitchen wall. Just when you thought you had finished all that DIY

yeah, but think of the possibilities. The UK wouldn't need to allow fracking, for instance.

As I said in an earlier post most people have been put off by liver from school where they cooked the hell out of it and kept it on hot plates so you ended up with this grainy grey slightly smelling of shit food stuff

But if you flash fry thin slices and serve pink its lovely.

Two slices of fresh white crusty bread, dipped in the fat of just fried crispy bacon (smoked for preference) and topped with a dollop of pickled red cabbage

Delish, specially on Christmas morning :D
