Avicii and C&S are two potential bookings for this surely?

edit: after posting this, i see C&S are starting to put new material out. I think this is very likely to happen myself.

also a V festival 4music headliner

Phoenix could not headline a festival the size of Rockness in the UK. I went to see them at Coachella (incase DP came on) and thought they were good, they have a big following across there, but I'd never heard of them before they were on the Coachella line up. They're subbing Tuts on a Friday night at T, they could never headline Rockness.

I would argue that The Vaccines are a bigger draw now than Franz and they subbed the Friday main stage so wouldn't headline. And White Lies wouldn't headline the Clash tent, never mind the main stage.

Phoenix better than Fatboy, Basement Jaxx, Netsky, or Alabama 3?

Well, they must be one fucking amazing live act because the music-part of their tunes I checked out on Spotify are somewhere between underwhelming and forgettable.[/quote

Agree with that !

Phoenix have been about for years and were never that big here and this album hasn't really

made to much of an impact in this part of the world and I just can't see there being a massive breakthrough for them here until there next album if its good

more exposure, more people will have heard them by next year. anyone with any sense took notice of the recently released album, they're better than ANYONE who played rockness this year,

    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
    • This Isaac wood news has dropped right out of left field. Great to hear he feels up to doing live stuff again    what will he play? Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
    • Wow, Blink-182 back so soon. They’re the band they’ve never booked then. Great booking if they’ve got them.    Deftones, Papa Roach, Knocked Loose   Lamb of God   Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte   Megadeth   Slipknot, Gojira, Motionless In White   All Time Low
