I played for a football team from when I was like 7 up until when I was 16 and needed to concentrate on GCSEs and A Levels instead. I have plenty of friends.

Ill be joining the football league at uni in a few days, and as I know no one here at the moment I have few friends but that apparently is going to change soon.

Also why use past tense, makes you sound old...just a thought try to live in the present not the past
