Ed and Lily third down would be acceptable(ish), if they sub it says a lot about the festival circuit this year. Haven't really seen a festival with a really good undercard yet.

Before the recent announcements I would have said third was good for them too, but with Ed looking like he is subbing at T, and Lily Allen possibly around the same spot at Beni I could see them being 2nd at V.

I dont know too many guitar bands that could sub, who can you think of

Also, who is being talked about for R&L subbing

T in the Park poster is always a mess. Ed could end up headlining their second stage, until the stage lineups are announced I wouldn't trust it. Lily played the first V i ever went to (2006) and a couple of times after that so I mean she could well sub and has a bit of a back catalogue to pull it off compared to Ed.

I haven't a scooby who is rumored for sub at Reading, haven't been following the forum for a few weeks, but wouldn't be surprised with You Me at Six or something along those lines for one of the nights.

And I can't think of anyone that might sub V other than Elbow.

YMAS told a guy in a pub they're doing one night, the other night isn't confirmed although from the poster it looks like maybe The 1975 or Courteeners. No third sub because they have co-headliners on the Sunday.

Doubt Snoop is big enough to sub, but I was just looking at JT's night at Wireless last year to see if there was anyone who could do it, and there really isn't.

from Wireless 2012 Sub Focus or Nas would do nicely. Or failing that John Legend would be perfect :giverose:

John Legend is touring for months on end until early June then seemingly taking an extended break until playing some random-ass support slot in the US the midweek after V so he's unlikely I'd say.

Nas has nothing this summer. Sub Focus are at Beni but nothing else.

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
