As a battleground for a proxy war against china most likely.

that incident is the only one that has been reported by the western media, I agree. But who's to say what covert operations american special forces are undertaking in north korea that go unreported?

Its very simple. America greyish, NK Blacker than black.

I can think of three aggressive actions by NK in the last few years. The shelling of that island, sinking of that boat and sending rockets over Japan. Can't think of any in the other direction!

Is that true? Earlier in this thread people were arguing that neither the south nor the north want unification.

Even if that were the case, do you want america to be the world's policeman? When it comes to civil wars, how do they decide which side is right? Why havent they got troops and nukes in all the countries having a civil war in africa?

Just watched the slightly controversial Panorama show. Nothing new on it, just a reiteration of the usual: famine, gulags, power cuts, brain washed civilians, paranoia, personality cult worship, blaming foreigners for all their ills etc etc

Did show information could be leaking in though, he picked up South Korean phone signals so maybe, just maybe they will start to see the truth.

russycarps makes plenty of good points folks, the idea that the americans should be seen as the good guys frightens the life out of me. Their actions in south america should be enough to show people that thier idea of what is for the best quite often isnt anything to do with what is actually for the best of said countries.

As for North Korea, their leader (and previous leaders) are obviously nut jobs but they dont come across as being stupid. They have nothing at all to gain from taking on the might of the good ole USofA. Its just a lot of posturing from a leader who has recently come into power

    • Had a lovely day in Prague now off to the festival. Very excited hope we all have fun regardless of weather!!
    • Iran are winning. If US aren't going to do the full invasion thing, then they may as well admit defeat and do what is needed to get the strait opened. Iran obviously have decided they can take any pain and stick it out as they have all the cards with this Hormuz thing. But obviously Trump can't admit defeat, and Israel just want this to keep going...and maybe it will carry on like this till after elections in both US and Israel towards the end of this year. God knows how the global economy will be by then.
