In 2011 on the 15th feb Coldplay was announced as a headliner, on the 25th feb U2 was.

This year we have absolutely nothing on headliners so news must be here soon !!

Are you sure both of you should be saying this? You could get your mate in trouble and lose his slot or cause yourself to lose your work experience. I'm sure all the parties involved have signed confidentiality agreements so you need to be careful what you say!

Definitely looks like next week is the time though what with Neil moving on, resales vast approaching and other bits and pieces including the stones announcing their tour next week.

Was it on this thread you removed it? probably does't matter too much as you've mentioned the name at least a couple of times previously.

Anyway IF the announcement is to be Thurs/Friday, The festival possibly do want to keep it under wraps but probably only for the element of surprise, I don't think it will have an impact on any bookings its just people will know when the announcement will be, and that seems like it is speculated every day now, so someone will be right.

I wouldn't be surprised if its on the 7th, but then again who cares we all know its very close it won't make the festival happen any sooner. Also I'm sure you've mentioned the artist in several other posts so I hope glasto are lenient on these issues. I'd imagine the lineup is 100% waiting on the Stones signing on the dotted line, they've seen other festivals announcing lineup days with hints towards the stones eg coachella and people like Branson tweeting they had a massive announcement then it falling through. Coachella had to rush through RHCP and it was signed hours before the lineup was announced so I'm sure the lineup will be released once the stones are ready or they say no and the alternative signs up.

Glasto won't want to needlessly get egg on their face.
